In the universe, there are billions of clusters of stars, and these clusters are called “galaxies.” Among them, the cluster of stars that includes the Sun and Earth is called “our galaxy.” In our galaxy, there are eight planets that orbit the Sun, including Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. This group of planets is known as the solar system, and they are all part of the Sun’s gravitational influence.
This week, we created beautiful representations of the planets using the printmaking technique.
Each planet’s shape was carefully crafted by cutting, and we worked in pairs to understand and depict the unique features of each planet we learned about.
The colors and shapes turned out to be stunning artworks. Next to the completed planets, we made posters with the key facts and characteristics of the planets we studied. In the following week, we will explore the lives of astronauts in space and learn more about them.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
