For the Lunar New Year activity in 2025, I prepared a snake-themed project for Maddie to explore the symbol of the year. Maddie began by observing pictures of snakes to learn about their shape and appearance. She creatively used pipe cleaners to form the wiggly shape of a snake’s body, practicing her fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. She also worked on cutting paper strips, linking them together to create a 3D snake craft.
In addition to this, Maddie coloured a lucky pouch, and we made two more stress balls using balloons, which she absolutely loved touching and playing with.
I prepared this activity hoping that Maddie could freely and joyfully explore sensory experiences through the stress balls. Wonderful work, Maddie!
