The Year 1-2 students completed their Lunar New Year lanterns this week.
They began by drawing the symbol of the snake, then used their cutting skills to form the structure of the lanterns. During the remaining time, we designed Bokjumeoni (lucky pouches).
A Bokjumeoni is a traditional pouch used by our ancestors to wish for good fortune and blessings.
The word “Bok” (福) represents happiness and luck, and it was believed that placing money or wishes inside the pouch would bring prosperity and good fortune. Lucky pouches symbolize the hope for a year filled with positivity and blessings.
Although a few students were absent due to illness, those who attended worked very hard and focused intently on their projects. Their dedication and effort truly shone through in their wonderful creations. Well done, everyone!
