This week, Yeseo learned about the renowned Korean artist Lee Jung-seob.
We explored his life story, especially his deep love for his family and how he expressed his emotions through art.
Yeseo was especially moved by his drawings of children and ox, and how he used both pictures and heartfelt letters to show his longing and affection for his loved ones.
We also discovered that during difficult times, when he couldn’t afford proper materials, Lee Jung-seob created art using silver foil from cigarette packs and chocolate wrappers.
Inspired by his creativity and resilience, Yeseo began making her own artwork on tin foil, just like he did.
It was a meaningful and exciting way for her to try a new technique while thinking about how to express her own feelings through art.
