This week, we continued our exploration of the life and artwork of the famous Korean artist Lee Jung-seob.
Building on last week’s lesson, the students completed their beautiful tin foil drawings, inspired by Lee Jung-seob’s unique way of creating art during difficult times. It was wonderful to see how carefully and creatively each student worked to finish their piece.
We also took a closer look at one of Lee Jung-seob’s most iconic subjects—his drawings of ox.
Together, we discussed why the ox was so important in his work and what it might have symbolized.
The students shared thoughtful ideas about how the ox could represent strength, love, and resilience.
After our discussion, the children sketched their own versions of a ox, using expressive lines and shapes to reflect their personal ideas and emotions—just like Lee Jung-seob did in his art.
It was a meaningful week filled with creativity, reflection, and heartfelt expression through drawing.
Great work, everyone!
