Y3-4 Art Class Update – T1W6

This week, we had a fantastic time exploring Korean moon jar paintings! These special paintings are usually found on the surface of moon jars, and they are filled with all sorts of amazing designs and patterns.

Imagine colorful flowers, beautiful trees, cute animals, and patterns that make you feel happy and peaceful. These paintings are like magic for your eyes!

One special flower we learned about is the peony. It’s big, beautiful, and it means something really cool. Due to its large size and beauty, the peony is considered a symbol of abundance and prosperity. It is frequently depicted in artworks and paintings to symbolize wealth and affluence. The flower’s lush appearance is associated with a positive message of prosperity.

We got to create our own Korean moon jar paintings, and guess what? We used peonies as our inspiration! Each one of us made our painting in our very own style, so they’re all unique and amazing.

It’s been an incredible journey learning about these beautiful paintings and making our own. Art is like magic, and we are the artists! Keep up the awesome work, everyone!
