This week, we looked at a painting which is called ‘The Red Room’ by Henri Matisse.
In ‘The Red Room,’ we saw a room that was painted mostly in a bright and exciting color: red! It’s like a room full of energy and happiness.
Inside this red room, there were so many interesting things to find. We spotted a table, some chairs, a colorful carpet on the floor, and even a lovely plant near the window. Everything in the room looked cheerful and lively because of that beautiful red color.
After looking at the painting, our Y1-2 kids did something super cool. They each sketched a part of the big template of that picture I prepared. Their drawings were amazing!
Once we finished sketching, we put all their drawings together like pieces of a puzzle to make a big, beautiful picture. It was such a fun activity, and everyone did an awesome job!
Next week, we’re going to add colors to our drawings, and it’s going to be even more exciting. Great job, little artists!
