This week, we began our exciting 3D Guitar Art project. The year7-9 students started by designing the body shapes of their guitars on foam board, using their creativity to explore different styles and ideas.
After finalizing their designs, they carefully cut out the guitar shapes using an electric cutter.
The students learned how to use the tool safely and were very excited to try it themselves!
Next week, we will move on to the next step: creating depth by adding foam board layers.
The students will make a space (gap) in their guitar designs and fill them to build up a 3D structure.
Then, they will decorate their guitars in full colour and bring their dimensional designs to life!
This ongoing project is helping students understand how to transform a flat drawing into a 3D artwork, while also building their confidence with tools and materials.
