  • Y3-4 Art Class Update – T2W6

    We traced the outlines of some images, carefully cut them out to make stencils, and used them to capture precise colours for specific shapes in the blank spaces of our artwork.

    Then, we coloured them using water colour paints.

    We also splattered paint and applied various effects to create our own unique and expressive pieces.

    Y5-6 Art Class Update – T2W6

    This week, we practiced drawing eyes, noses, and mouths. We’ve also grasped how to hatch to create shadows. Additionally, we took pictures of our faces to use for drawing .

    We’ll be learning how to create different tones and colours using oil pastels next week.

    Y7-9 Art Class Update – T2W6

    We’ve completed our art history timeline poster. Beginning next week, we’ll explore each art timeline in more detail and delve into specific artists’ backgrounds.

    FS1-2 Art Class Update – T2W5

    In celebration of the Lunar New Year, we crafted a lucky bag. We colored a lucky bag template, incorporating Korean traditional Hanji paper in some parts.

    Y1-2 Art Class Update – T2W5

    In celebration of the Lunar New Year, we created wish lanterns, hoping that the wishes made on them come true throughout the year. In another art session, we crafted baskets using weaving techniques and then attached the fruits we painted last week.

    Y3-4 Art Class Update – T2W5

    In celebration of the Lunar New Year, we crafted a calendar. Afterward, we delved into the art of silhouette. We sketched silhouettes of our favorite images, cut them out to create stencils, and used them to capture specific colors for certain shapes in empty areas of our pictures.

    Y5-6 Art Class Update – T2W5

    In celebration of the Lunar New Year, we crafted coasters using Hanji, a traditional Korean paper, adorned with patterns inspired by Korean patchwork wrapping cloth. Additionally, we continued practicing observational drawing of eyes, noses, and mouths. Next week, we plan to create self-portraits using our own photos.

    Y7-9 Art Class Update – T2W5

    FS1-2 Art Class Update – T2W4

    The FS2 kids kept learning about art, focusing on cool and warm colours. This week, we tried using vibrant and expressive solid watercolor paints. The children learned how to use these paints and make different shades by playing with water. They not only understood how to work with solid paints but also got better at creating different tones. It was a fun and enriching experience where they used what they learned to make cool artworks.

    Y1-2 Art Class Update – T2W4

    The Year1-2 children completed drawing apples in the style of Paul Cézanne. They created wonderful artworks by using oil pastels to add various colours to the sand paper. In another session, they used solid watercolours to draw various fruits. They learned how to adjust tones using water, even with the same colour, and each child completed their own fruit painting. The finished artworks reflected the unique personalities of each child.
