This week, Maddie and I had a fun and creative art activity. During our first session, I showed Maddie a short video clip about fireworks to inspire her. We then explored how to create fireworks in art.
We reviewed the rainbow song and discussed the colours we can see in fireworks.
To start, we made buildings using masking tape, and then we stamped colourful patterns to create fireworks in the sky. Maddie was excited throughout the process. We also made a stress ball using balloons, which Maddie really enjoyed playing with. Unfortunately, it popped by the end of the session, but I promised her we’d make another one next week.
Additionally, we created a beautiful chameleon using cellophane paper.
Maddie loved how the colours shone through the paper, and she was very proud of her work.
It was a joyful and productive week filled with creativity!
