Lunar New Year Celebration
HFS will be celebrating Lunar New Year on Thursday, 23rd January.
Students are invited to come to school on Thursday dressed in traditional Korean dress or traditional clothing from a country they have a connection to. This is completely optional. Students will also be learning about the importance of Lunar New Year in Korean culture and the rest of Asia, as well as linking Lunar New Year to celebrations from other cultures and traditions.
Parants are welcome to join us at 1.30pm for some traditional Korean games, snacks, and to watch the students performing a Saebae bow to their elders.
After-School Activites
Here is a list of who has signed up for each after-school activity.
After-school activities start in Week 3 (next week, from Monday, 20th January)
Please note:
- Basketball has been cancelled due to a lack of interest
- Kpop Dance has been cancelled due to a lack of interest
- Jouni Sports on Monday is now open to students in Mrs. Sim’s class. Contact the Admin Office to sign-up
School Consultative Group
We have had no responses from parents wishing to join this group at this stage. If you would like to join this group, please email Mr. Green. We will keep you updated on any progress. Having parent representation in school consultation and decision-making is very valuable, so we are keen to find some parents who are willing to join.
