After-School Activities start in Week 3 (next week)
Here is a list of who is doing each activity. Please check carefully, as there may have been changes or people signing up for activities they are not eligible for.
A big thank you to the PTA for organising the movie night on Thursday. All the students had a great time, and it was a fun way to start life at our new school.
New School Opening Celebration
If you would like to attend this event, please register using this form. We have lots of people coming, and we need to plan accordingly. If you do not register and attend on the day, you will be making things very difficult for us to organise. This is also not an event that would suit babies and small children.
We have enjoyed a wonderful first week at our new school! The students have all adapted well to the new routines and have begun to really take advantage of all the new opportunities for great learning that our new home offers. We have lots of exciting things planned for Term 2, so be sure to read your newsletter and class update carefully!

Please choose your activities carefully and with respect. Students should choose activities they are interested in to ensure everyone can enjoy them.
Students are not guaranteed all their choices, as we will balance things out by looking at the numbers.

Upcoming Events
Save the date for the following upcoming events!
Lunar New Year Event – Wednesday 7th February
New School Opening Event – Wednesday 21st February
Just two weeks left in Term 1, and things are getting very exciting at HFS! Christmas is in the air, and the anticipation for the holidays and our big move is growing.
Open Day at New School Site
As you are no doubt aware, the school will be relocating to our new site during the winter holidays. Renovation work is on track, and the timeline for ordering new furniture and resources has now begun. We are very excited about the move to the new school site and the wonderful educational environment we are creating.
To ease the transition, we would like to invite all parents and students to an Open Day at the new school site on Friday, January 5th, at 2.30 p.m. This will be an opportunity for parents to see our new facilities and for students to become familiar with their new school before school starts.
We will be holding a ceremony in February to officially mark the opening of the new school.
No Clubs in Week 14 and Week 15
There will be no club running in December. The afternoon bus follows the No Clubs Weeks Schedule.
Last Day of Term 1
Please remember that the last day of Term 1 for students will be Thursday, December 14th.
Staff will spend Friday packing up the school, ready to move to the new school site.
Mid-Year Reports and Parent-Teacher Conferences
Mid-Year Reports will be published on Friday 19th February and Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held the following week. Remember, if you would like to meet a teacher before then, we are always happy to arrange something.
Term 3 Invoices Sent Home
Next Monday, your child will bring home an invoice for the Term 2 fees. If you have any questions or need clarification, please feel free to contact the Admin Office. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
School Bus for Term 2
As we’re relocating to the new school site in December, some students who used to walk to school might now require the school bus service. If your child currently doesn’t use the school bus but will need to be enrolled for it at the new location, kindly email the Admin Office no later than December 8th. Requests received after the deadline may not be considered.
Keep Everyone Safe
We’ve had a few cases of influenza and COVID-19 recently. If your child feels unwell with symptoms, please keep them home to rest. This helps keep everyone safe. If your child is sick, let us know they’re staying home. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Next Friday will be the Halloween Party and we want to be sure we know how everyone is getting home. There are no student-led clubs after the Halloween Party. Some students may want to leave on the first bus at 3.30 pm, and some may wish to stay for another hour until 4.30 pm. We suggest that younger students may be tired by 3.30 pm and therefore be better off on the first bus. We also have limited spaces on each bus.
Could you complete this form to let us know how you will be getting home after the Halloween party and we try our best to accommodate everyone. Bus arrangements will be confirmed early next week.
