Mr Morgan’s Class Update T1W11

Hello Everyone!

Another week has come and gone, and there has been so much going on.

In Maths, we have been tackling fractions, particularly looking at fractions as operators. Students have had a great deal of practice in using fractions to calculate a fraction of a total amount. We also started looking at equivalent fractions, decimals, and percentages, which we will continue with next week.

In English, we started our new unit on persuasive writing. Students have explored different kinds of persuasive texts and investigated the importance of layout for displaying information.

In IPC, we started our new unit, ‘The Holiday Show’. We kicked this off with an Entry Point trip to Ulsan Grand Park. We were extremely lucky with the weather and had a perfect day exploring the park and rating the facilities. We visited the zoo, the insect park, the war memorial, and pretty much every playground (and vending machine) there. In total, we walked well over 8kms (not including the running around the park). I was very proud of each student’s behaviour and the way they conducted themselves throughout the day. I think it was a hit, and most students rated it 8 stars or above.

That is about it for this week. I took a lot of photos that I have added to the end of this post.

Have a great weekend, and see you in week 12.

Mr Morgan
